The Sharrow Vale Community Association is a group of local volunteers whose aim is to try to keep our community a pleasant and welcoming place to live, work and visit. All our activities are open to new volunteers to join in as the more who get involved the more effective our actions will be, so please feel welcome to join us. We are a very friendly group!
We meet on the last Thursday of every month at 328 Sharrow Vale Road at 7.00pm – come and see what we are all about! But for now, here are some of our projects in brief:

Sharrow Vale market
The Sharrow Vale Market is always a lively and well-attended event, we organise these three times a year. We are always in need of more help, from marshalls at first point of contact, setting up and taking down equipment to some admin tasks to help the day go smoothly. The dates for the markets are shown on this website. Think you can give us a hand? Please get in touch.

Litter pick
Fed up with the rubbish left around our area? We do a litter-pick every second Sunday in the month; meeting at the corner of Junction Road (surprisingly good fun and sometimes amazing what you can find!).

Sharrow Vale Pocket Park

Members of the SVCA nurture and maintain this hidden corner of green and tranquility on Eastwood Road in Sharrow Vale. The pocket park enables you to  enjoy the beauty of bees, flowers, vegetable and wildlife and discover the features of the balustrade…while you eat your fish and chips.

NESST
Have you seen the new saplings on our streets? We have recently become affiliated to NESST, an environment focused group and in collaboration with that group we also aim to raise funds to plant more street trees in our area. To ring-fence donations for trees in Sharrow Vale and Hunters Bar we have created our own crowdfunder.

If you would like to donate please go to https://localgiving.org/appeal/SharrowVale_street-trees/

Your donations will be appreciated by many and will leave a lasting legacy. If you wish to donate directly please email sharrowvalemarket@gmail.com for more details.

These are just a few examples of what we get up to. So please come along to our meetings to find out more, you might like to get involved and weʼd love to hear your fresh ideas.

Best wishes from the
Sharrow Vale Community Association Committee Members
